Mission Statement-
The mission of the Family Access Center is to support individuals in overcoming life's challenges, through empowerment, as we embrace preserving, restoring, and strengthening through quality services.
History-
Since 2005, Family Access Center has served, supported, and strengthened families. Darin Dunn and Dr. Pamela Ingram founded the organization, initially known as Transitional Services of Iowa (TSI), a behavioral health organization. Ron Berube later joined the ownership team, further advancing the mission and expanding family-centered services across offices in Sioux City, IA; Spencer, IA; and Council Bluffs, IA.
Today, Family Access Center employs more than 50 highly trained and experienced professionals, including licensed therapists, certified substance use counselors, and a diverse team of mental health care providers. The organization offers compassionate, comprehensive assessment and treatment services, including mental health care, substance use treatment,and behavioral health services, domestic violence intervention and treatment, peer recovery coaching and support, the Prime for Life drunk driving course, and supervised visitation. Throughout its growth, Family Access Center has remained committed to building people-centered services and programs, ensuring that individuals and families are supported with dignity and care regardless of the service or resource provided.
Family Access Center is a state-licensed, Medicaid/Medicare-certified community-based organization credentialed by Chapter 24 and Chapter 155. Our management is a competent, diverse, and experienced group of professionals with backgrounds in medical, mental health, and business fields.
